Built in March 1963 as Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe GP30 1257. The Santa Fe later renumbered it to ATSF 3257 and, later still, 2757, when it was rebuilt into a “GP30u” by the railway in March 1984. When the ATSF merged with the Burlington Northern, this GP became Burlington Northern Santa Fe 2457. It was rebuilt again, by Relco, into BNSF “GP39-2Q” 2548, released on May 18, 2016, and sporting a more traditional EMD cab. From this angle, one cannot tell it used to be a GP30!
