As it was arriving in Yonkers, New York, MTA Metro-North Railroad Train 781 was departing with MNCW 9248 trailing on the 8-car M8 consist of the MTA Metro-North Railroad Holiday Lights Train. The "Lights Train" had experienced a mechanical problem earlier in the afternoon and was reassigned to this run on the fly, so this really was a (1) lucky (2) unplanned and (3) unique meet.
