| Vermont Railway's excursion consist spends a quiet evening in the yard at Burlington. 313 was formerly NJ Transit GP40PH-2 4137 which started life as a 1967-built New York Central GP40. The GP40FH-2 model had a less-than-stellar reputation on NJ Transit, and it didn't help they were intended to replace venerable U34CHs when delivered in the late 1980s. While NJ Transit retired their fleet of 15 units in the early/mid 2000s, Metro-North's 6 units continue to solider on in "West of Hudson" service. |
