The Last Carmen Searchlights. A little snow on the ground in Rotterdam, New York accents the winter scene of the since removed former New York Central searchlight signals on the Carmen Branch as CSX B761-07 rolls by with CSXT GP40-2 6230 (née-BO 4331, EMD, 2/1979) bringing an empty rail train back to Selkirk Yard on January 7, 2021. During this time, CSX was a actively removing all of the legacy signals on the lines in the area while installing modern signals and PTC related equipment, the last vestiges of the signature NYC equipment that were not on Amtrak owned trackage.
