On the night of November 26th, 2024, Amtrak Acela 2172, led by power car 2011, rounds the loop at New Haven Yard in Connecticut. The trainset experienced multiple issues enroute, ultimately forcing it to return to New Haven Union Station, where the service was cancelled. With the east power car inoperable, the train needed to be looped to continue its journey to Boston.
