Remarks & Notes
Enefit TEM2 1936 departing Ahtme yard with an oil shale train to Musta power plant. The Estonian government owned Enefit has a decent size shortline network for the transport of oil shale from their mines to their powerplants. For power they use Russian built TEM18 diesel locomotives and Soviet TEM2 diesel locomotives, based on the ALCO RSD-1 designs that were imported under Lend-Lease during WWII.

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
