| BN 6008 mere days after arriving at its new Minnesota Transportation Museum home. Built in 1952 as Great Northern 558, the SD7 was donated to MTM by Cargill in 2017.
BNSF delivered the locomotive and designated it as "MNTX 6234" for easy transport. Shortly after arriving at the museum, 6008 was cosmetically restored to its Burlington Northern appearance. At the time, long-term ideas called for a GN repaint and possible return to operation. |
