Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad train 462 is at the end of the Highline and will arrive in Rokwood shortly. Diesel locomotive DL-535E 106, built by ALCO in 1969 for the White Pass and Yukon Railway, was acquired by the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad in 2021. In June 2024, it was repainted in the colors of the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad.
While Colorado's narrow gauge steam railroads are the major draw, the state is also home to several diesel-powered tourist railroads that take passengers to the Royal Gorge and other sites.
