| The power of NS AC18 is tied down and in idle on the JIT Steel Lead on this bitterly cold evening. Alot hasn't change on the Chattanooga Traction Co. other than the choice of power that is assigned to work the branch. The SD40-2's seems to be the perfect and available choice for the branch now since 4 axle motors isn't as prevalent around these parts. Throughout the years of me covering the Traction Co. as far back as 2009 I've seen power as small as the MP15DC's, Geeps to the largest of SD60E's, but the "Butthead" MP15DC's were the main iconic Marshall of the Chattanooga Traction Company till their retirement from the NS active roster a bygone era of this piece of railroad. |
