Dearman Station. MNCW 229 (P32AC-DM, New Have Tribute) was leading train MTA Metro-North Railroad 8769 when it stopped in Irvington, New York on the snowy night of Sunday, January 19, 2025. When the Hudson River Railroad first came to this area in September, 1849, the village and thus the station was called Dearman, but after joining with neighboring Abbotsford in 1854, citizens lobbied to change to change the name of the village to Irvington after local (and then still living) author Washington Irving.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
