Early Morning Marble Hill. There was still quite a bit of time before the sun would start to brighten the sky when CSXT 464 (AC44CW) led CSX M701-21 around the curve in Marble Hill under the Broadway Bridge on the morning of Wednesday, January 22, 2025. While bit later than usual, this is the normal setting for freight to travel on the Hudson Line this time of year, in both directions departing after sunset and arriving before dawn.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
