Remarks & Notes
NS 4001, one of Norfolk Southern's first DC to AC rebuilt locomotives, lead a Clovis, NM to Richmond, CA vehicle train down the 1.5% grade of Kingman Canyon. NS 4000 and NS 4001 were the two first locomotives to be part of the NS DC to AC rebuilding program. As a result, both locomotives are painted in a blue and silver paint scheme.
