Lightning Strips Over The Hackensack. CSX I010 had CSXT 1853 (New York Central Heritage, ES44AH) leading on the River Sub on the morning of Sunday February 2, 2025, the first time that it was visited this former NYC trackage leading in daylight. The train made it from Selkirk, New York to North Bergen, New Jersey in just over three hours, significantly faster than possible when New York Central merged into Penn Central in 1968. After leaving its train in North Bergen, the power moved over the Hacksack River to CSX's South Kearny Yard.
