Remarks & Notes |
The Rio Grande has the Wasatch Mountains to cross and the top is called Soldier Summit. The base of the grade where it starts is Helper, Utah. Hence the name where helpers are added to trains to make the run up to Soldier Summit. We see a GP35 at the locomotive facilities and some UP SD45's that were used in pool service on coal trains. |
