Remarks & Notes
Amtrak Northeast Regional train 125 (Springfield, Massachusetts to Newport News, Virginia) speeds through the NJ Transit station in Linden, pulled by ACS-64 622. This section of Amtrak's 457-mile Boston MA to Washington DC electrified rail line is six tracks wide to accommodate both Amtrak and NJ Transit traffic. This train is diesel-powered from Springfield MA to New Haven CT, then electrified from New Haven to Washington DC, and once again powered by a diesel to Newport New VA.
