Remarks & Notes
Engines over English Kills. New York & Atlantic train RS-90 is seen easing out over English Kills as it switches cars at the recycling facility on the north side of the tracks. The power for the train on this day was USA Waste Services SE23B-M no. 400 and SE23B-S no. 010 leading, with leaser GP38-2 no. 2127 on the other end. The bridge was once a bobtail swing bridge that allowed passage of maritime traffic to the basin south of the railroad, but has been locked shut since the basin was filled in the 1950s.
