The Northeast's only operating 4-8-4 is seen all ready to go on its first winter run in over a quarter century. This 400 tons of machine muscle, built only a short distance from where it sits, gleams from the hard work of human muscle. Behind that muscle is the passion, talent, and dedication of some of the finest railroaders you will ever meet or see on rails. I tip my Chris LaRose hat to the entire Reading & Northern steam team.
