| A BNSF manifest slowly moving uphill after a meet at Bison. It was at this location the day earlier where a grizzly bear ran in front of me and crossed Highway 2 at full stride. I'm guessing 30 mph. He ran through traffic without hesitation and jumped a barbwire fence on the other side of the road without breaking stride. It was stunning. A little while later a BNSF foreman approached me and asked if I had seen the bear. His work gang was watching the bear and had to retreat to their vehicles until he got over the tracks and road. |
