The annual 470 Railroad Club Excursion crosses Route 302 on the approach to Fabyan's Station. Leading the train is the 470's own trio of B&M first-generation EMDs: F7s 4268 and 4266, and GP9 1741. 1741 was just restored by the group and this was its first official debut on the road. The train operated by the Conway Scenic Railroad and on the former MEC Mountain Division.
Beautiful mountain scenery has made this small state a draw for rail buffs to ride the Mount Washington Cog Railway and the Conway Scenic, among others.
