Remarks & Notes
MTA Metro-North Railroad 222 In Service. On the sweltering summer morning of August 9, 2011, MTA Metro-North Railroad MNCW 222 was heading up the Park Avenue Viaduct towards the Harlem-125 Street Station in New York, NY. Seen here in its original paint scheme, it has recently been wrapped in its third as an early New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad locomotive. Although it was recently moved from MNR's North White Plains facility to Croton Harmon Locomotive Shop, it still requires mechanical work before it will debut in this wrap in revenue service.
