CSX Detour: With a pilot crew from Conrail Shared Assets on board, CSX M410 detours eastbound on the Port Reading Secondary. CSXT 3399 (ET44AH) is the second unit. On this weekend, freight trains were detouring on the Port Reading Secondary due to MOW crews working on the restoration of Crossover #3 at CP Townley in Union, NJ. In December 2017, eastbound freight CSX Q404 derailed at CP Townley on Track #2, damaging the interlocking. Crossover #3 remained unrestored until this weekend in November 2024, almost 7 years later. The restoration did not last long: in February of 2025, westbound freight NS 21W derailed at the same location on Track #2, destroying the recently restored Crossover #3.
