Acela By The TZ Bridge. On the night of Wednesday, February 26, 2025, Amtrak's Alstom Acela II Train Set 20 (AMTK 2135/2130) being delivered from the Alstom Factory in Hornell, New York to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (14-19 are still on the factory) when it passed through Philipse Manor, New York. The set is being towed by a pair of P42DCs. The Acela II program will ultimately deliver 28 high speed train sets to Amtrak, and testing is still ongoing. In the background the new Tappan Zee Bridge (Mario M. Cuomo Bridge) is lighted in the background as it passes through the MTA Metro-North Railroad Philispe Manor Station.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
