On this afternoon, BNSF Railway operated three westbound Guaranteed Service Intermodal trains that originated in Atlanta, Georgia, and were heading to Los Angeles, California: Q-ATGLAC7-22V, Q-ATGLAC7-24V and BNSF Q-ATGLAC6-25A. The oldest (that is, furthest behind schedule) is this one, the Q-ATGLAC7-22V, operating a mere 57 hours 52 minutes late. But, this one of the three had the most interesting power up front: CSX Transportation ET44AC 3301, followed by CSXT ES44AH 1900 – the CSX's Seaboard Air Line Heritage locomotive – and, finally, BNSF ES44AC 6144, which was added later and, fortunately for the railfans photographing this train, someone at BNSF in Texas cut it in behind the "foreign power"! (So, a huge "thank you!" to the anonymous BNSF employee who did that!) Fortunately, the sun waited another half-hour before ducking behind a large cloud this day. Note that one can see the rear of this 81-car train just behind that crooked power pole. (Barstow, California – March 1, 2025)
