Remarks & Notes |
This is the present look of the Nashville & Eastern after the entire fleet has been repainted under RJ Corman ownership. Although this day's NE01 rock train is a bit different because one of the two SD70Ms is off the train which found a pair of B40-8Ws in its place. The typical power for this heavy train is a pair of SD70Ms and a 4-axle GE is added behind the 70s if the train will go to Bonnell Aluminum because that spur is limited to 4-axle power. The train is westbound through Brush Creek on the scenic former Tennessee Central mainline with loaded rock from the Rogers Group quarry in Gordonsville, TN bound for unloading in Nashville. The train is based in Lebanon, TN and alternates days between going east to the quarry and west to the unloading facility just east of downtown Nashville. |
