Remarks & Notes |
L571 heads North on the CN Dearborn Sub crossing the Conrail Shared Assets at Penford Jct. This is the old DT&I crossing the Pennsylvania RR. One of the Edison Arches can be seen on the south side of the Diamond. These Arches were built when Hennery Ford owned the DT&I. This was Fords attempt at Electrifying the Line. Two Test runs with Eclectic Locomotives were made in 1925. The Arches were built at the Rouge Plant Steelworks with rebar and Ford Concrete. |
