| "Third Geep’s the Charm (Another CTDOT Geep for MNR)"
On the night of February 21, 2025, Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT)/CTrail EMD GP40-3H 6695 and Metro-North Railroad EMD GP35r 104 hold for traffic at Stamford Station in Connecticut. The 6695 was shuttled from its home in New Haven to Stamford on the first leg of its journey to Croton-Harmon Shops for a 92-day inspection before entering revenue service on branch line shuttles. It is the third Geep leased from CTDOT to supplement Metro-North’s fleet while the remaining Brookville BL20GHs undergo rebuilding.
