HLCX #6341 departs the ready track at Clewiston's North Shops as it heads to the Sugar Mill to grab an empty cane train. #6341 is probably the most interesting locomotive on US Sugar's roster besides #148 as it is the only one wearing a Southern Pacific paint scheme in regular service in Florida. This unit was leased by US Sugar in 2023 when the railroad began experimenting with six axle units on its Fort Pierce and Sebring turns. US Sugar determined that it was more efficient to use six axle power on these trains and has since purchased more, although #6341 has recently been reassigned to cane duty. During its time as a lease unit, it has served on the UP, CP, CSX, and the Stillwater Central in Oklahoma before coming to South Florida.
