Under the motto “Green and Chrome”, the Eurovapor association, together with the Mikado 1244 association and the RhB/Green and Chrome foundation, organized a day trip from Brugg to Chur with a round trip through Graubünden. From Brugg via Zurich-Winterthur-Weinfelden-Rorschach-Sargans to Chur, the Ae 6/6 # 11407 “Aargau” of the Mikado 1244 association (on loan from SBB Historic) pulled the sold-out train with 4 carriages. In the canton of Graubünden, the Ge 4/4 II # 611 “Landquart” in green hauled a 9-car train with standard coaches type II in first and second class as well as the baggage car D # 4205 in green, which served as a bar car, from (Landquart-) Chur via Reichenau-Thusis-Filisur-Davos-Klosters to Landquart, from where the return journey was made on the same route with the train of the Mikado 1244 association. Between Zizers Altlöser crossing station and Chur, the two trains ran in parallel for around 10 minutes over a distance of around 10 kilometers. Here you can see RhB train 92511 on meter gauge running at around 60 km/h from the parallel running special train 31000 on standard gauge between Untervaz and Haldenstein.
