The New Look Of NYSW. On Monday, March 20, 2023, New York, Susquehanna, and Western Railway SD70M-2 4064 (née-Norfolk Southern 2708, SD70M-2, 2/2006) led Train SU-100 for the first time since being repainted in the railroad's corporate yellow and black scheme. With the recent change to daylight savings time, an extra hour of daylight late in the day helped maximize the opportunity to capture some images at the northern end of the NYSW's Southern Division. The train is seen passing over the famous Starrucca Viaduct in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
