Orange is on the track Just a little over a month after the STB gave its blessing for CSX and CPCK to take over a the Meridian and Bigbee, the new traffic from this interchange is seen today on L845 in Lanett, Alabama. 13 Schneider containers are at the head end of L845 after having been picked up by this "local" at the massive CSX Intermodal ramp in Fairburn, Georgia. These containers will depart Montgomery, Alabama on CSX L745 for interchange to CPKC at Myrtlewood, Alabama and then head to Mexico by way of the Meridian Speedway. Seeing this container count go from just 2 containers two days prior to 13 gives hope that more intermodal moves will become a reality in 2025.
