PCC By PETCO. San Diego MTS PCC 529 (ex-San Francisco Municipal Railway 1122, née-St. Louis Public Service 1716, St. Louis Car Company, 1946) was the first heritage car restored for the Silver Line in San Diego, California, rebuilt in house by the SDMTS Shop and given this number as the last original San Diego PCC was 528. On March 29, 2012, it is seen passing PETCO Park, the home of the San Diego Padres. The Silver Line started as a heritage line on the Downtown Loop in 2011. SDMTS has since added former Twin Cities 529/NJ Public Service 10 PCC as car 530 and SDMTS U2 1001, the first new Trolley for the reborn line in 1981. Since the pandemic, the Silver Line only operates on holidays, so check their website before traveling.
