Appenzeller Bahnen (AB) have built a large new service center in Appenzell, next to the line to Wasserauen, which will be officially opened on May 3, 2025. The “Tango” Be 4/6-ABe 4/6 4002/4102 and 4007/4107, which are used on the route from Appenzell via Gais-Teufen-St.Gallen-Speicher to Trogen, are parked in front of the four-track hall. The new service facility will replace the workshops in Herisau and Gais and maintain all vehicles on the Gossau-Appenzell-Wasserauen, Appenzell-Gais-St.Gallen-Trogen and Gais-Altstätten Stadt lines. In the background, the 1506-metre-high Fänerenspitz.
