While headed to Conway Scenic Railroad for the annual 470 Railroad Club excursion, I decided to swing by the elusive Batten Kill Railroad to see if there were any signs of life. As expected, they weren't running this day, but I did manage to get a photo of Southern New England Railroad's RS-36, 5021, sitting next to new arrival, high-nose RS-36 408. The 408 recently arrived from the Ontario Midland, and is ex-Norfolk & Western. The 5021, despite the D&H-inspired paint, is also of N&W heritage, having originally operated on the Atlantic & Danville, later the Norfolk, Franklin & Danville.
