Originally built 3/69 as SP 9070 (SD45). Rebuilt/renumbered 12/83 by SP's Sacramento Shops as SP 7487 (SD45R). Retired from UP 4/30/99; sold 9/30/99. Purchased and refurbished by CIT and designated as CEFX 3138 (SD40-2).
