Remarks & Notes
Gloucester to Cardiff rugby special. This was the final occasion when Arriva Trains Wales used locomotive-hauled stock on scheduled services. Chepstow is on the route between Gloucester and Severn Tunnel Junction which sees reasonable volumes of daylight freight (including steel and fuels) and is particularly worth visiting when the Severn Tunnel is closed for maintenance causing traffic to be diverted via Gloucester.
