Remarks & Notes
Shooting Kodachrome 10, my Argus C3 "brick" at 1/50sec was not able to freeze a set of Baldwin Centepedes as they drifted past my lens in the pit at Altoona. These were used as helper power on the passenger trains and had been recently derated by the PRR from BP60T's (6000hp to 5000hp). Both the Argus and Baldwins were doomed...The PRR found that it was cheaper to use these units with all their faults than to use steam for the same jobs.
