Union Pacific baretables creep along the San Gabriel River as they are about to cross the BNSF at DT Junction. The SD70M in the lead was delivered in April of 2001. The train is on the Union Pacific Los Nietos Sub, formarly the Southern Pacific Puente Branch (at one time tied in to the Patata Line and the Walker Line). This line starts at Bartolo to the north, where it meets the Union Pacific Los Angeles Sub, and ends at CP Compton on the Alameda Corridor. This train, however, turned onto the La Habre Sub to go west.
