A Bergen County Line train is shoved from Radburn Station. I had ridden it from Ridgewood. U34CHs were known as Bluebirds and had shaft driven HEP, which took 170 hp, leaving 3430 for traction. I was told that the first night U34CHs were parked in one of the EL Yards (1970 at Woodbine) they spread the rails and ended up on the crossties. #3380 was delivered 1/73 and was retired in 1996, sold to GEC Alstom, it went to Mexico reappearing dead in the US in April 2006 (see pic 141613).
