Remarks & Notes |
West Park is bisected by the junction of Conrail's Fort Wayne Line (the two outside tracks) and Conemaugh Line (the two inside tracks), coming out of the Pittsburgh Line. This image was taken from a footbridge that I had ran to when I heard the EMD's sputtering and GE's chugging. Wish that U23B had been in the lead though. It was an ex Penn Central unit that came from Erie on 9/72. The SD40-2 was delivered to Conrail by LaGrange on 9/79. 2700s like the U23B here were despised by PC and CR crews for being poor performers, while those long porch SD40-2s were loved. |
