The daily Grand Forks, ND - Northtown, MN manifest heads south in blowing snow. Arctic high pressure systems are known for their crystal clear blue skies, but what's overlooked is that when they arrive after a dusting of fresh snow, the winds whip up the snow and drop visibilty in open areas (read: the entire state of North Dakota). This train is coming toward me yet look in front of the plow...the wind-driven snow is out-pacing the MAC!
