A day later, NS 5428 and SLC 270 have been switched over a track and SD40-2 6190 has disappeared. This shot gives a better view of the unique white numbers and blue background on the cab of 5428, which is different from the normal style of black numbers on a white background. Once 5428 makes it into the shops, it will be rebuilt to SD40E standards, which include derating the engine from 3,500 HP to 3,000 HP and installing an air conditioner and new electronics, among other improvements.
