Remarks & Notes |
South bound NS train G29 has just completed it's set out in Fort Valley Ga. on this former Central of Georgia trackage and is seen as it departs heading for Albany Ga. at 16:28. It is at this location just behind where I took this photo that the Columbus East District splits off for the route to Columbus Ga. via Junction City. The Albany District which this train utilizes continues south via Oglethorpe Ga. Also objects that are note worthy are the former Central of Georgia Passenger Depot and Freight Depot that still stand. The Freight Depot is just behind the lead unit along with the Heart of Georgia's GP35 which waits for it's next assighnment. The Passenger Depot is to the left in the distance. As a personal note, although this job has recently been running with "Catfish" in the lead postions. It is all about getting a train in a particular location on less traveled routes. |
