| Norfolk Southern Conrail Quality D8-40CW 8408 leads train 11R under the West Main Street Bridge at Charlottesville. With the number of former Conrail locomotives being repainted into CSX and NS livery on the rise, it's becoming rarer to see one leading a train. It's hard to believe that a decade has passed since the Conrail split. NS 8408 was originally built as CR C40-8W 6211 in 1993 and was renumbered PRR 8408. It was repainted in 2010. |
