Remarks & Notes
A trio of GP30s has the "Chief" in tow under the dropping semaphore, headed past 5-points in downtown Janesville. Of the 59 cars behind the power are 19 TOFC and 14 racks. The roofline of the structure on the right above the gon is the MILW roundhouse, which still serves the WSOR today. CNW named their scheduled freights during this era, #483 was carded for a 10:30 departure daily out of Janesville. To see another perspective at this same location, click here.
