| The changing of the guard.For more than 2 decades ALCO had been the sole type of horsepower found on the North Coast line in & out of Brisbane.With the immanent withdrawal date closing in, EMD horsepower was quickly taking over.By September 1994 only a few ALCO's were still running on the Coast Line.The 2nd last Brisbane (Acacia Ridge yard) Alco shunt engine 3532 trails 44213 on 7BS6 freight & have stopped in the loop at Glenapp to allow 8129,8146 & 8169 on 6SB7 through on the main as they head for Brisbane. |
