| Two large ex French Railways (SNCF) 4-8-2 locomotives with the long special "Vapeur Swiss Express" on the 1.8 % (max 2.1 %) ramp from Lausanne on the Lake Geneva up to Puidoux-Chèxbres. First is 241 A 65, based in Switzerland since many years, second the 241 P 17 from Le Creusot (France). The train was crossing Switzerland from Geneva via Lausanne-Fribourg-Berne-Olten-Lenzburg-Bözberg to Basel. Brian Stephenson photographed the original Swiss Express of the SBB on this beautiful location exactly 26 years before! See ID=252343 |
