Boston & Maine 494 stares down the upstart diesel that dares to disturb it's slumber. Unlike many other display engines, it is under shelter and cared for. Ironically 494, a lovely 4-4-0 built by Manchester in 1892, once hauled coal for the Mt Washington Cog Railway, the place I am to visit for the first time later that morning.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
