Remarks & Notes |
Not something we see everyday in Brantford. CN 331 had stopped to lift 24 cars at Brantford and they stalled on the grade out of Brantford when they tried to depart westbound. After backing up till the head end was back to the east end of the yard they took another run at the hill CN 6015 - GT 5937 and their 66 car train (7,645 tons) stalled again. So what to do? Why lets get the local based at Brantford to shove them up the hill. Now we get to this photo which is 580's unit heading to the tail end of 331 to couple up and help shove him as far as Hardy where they cut off on the fly. |
