Remarks & Notes
Gutted by fire. The former Delaware Lackawanna & Western station in East Stroudsburg was gutted by a fire early Monday morning. The depot, built in 1856, was home to a bar and restaurant named the Dansbury Depot. One feature of the restaurant was its large windows which reflected the passing trains, as seen here with DL 2045 leading an AAPRCO special from the Delaware Water Gap back north to Scranton three years ago. CN 2-8-2 3254 can be seen behind the diesels.
