If you spend any time along Metro-North's New Haven line, a goodly percentage of what you'll see is this. Happily, the first of 300 brand-new M8 cars should be on the ocean as I type this, bound from Japan to the Port of Baltimore. From there they'll make a land journey to Connecticut. Interestingly, the M8s will be capable of operating east of New Haven into Shore Line East territory, perhaps foreshadowing future plans along that route.
